"Geography and Regional Future Studies" Quarterly Journal with the approach of expanding and creating a platform for scientific communication between prominent domestic and foreign researchers on the topics of "Spatial Planning, Regional Planning, and Future Studies" has received permission to publish on 2023/07/08 under registration number 92477 from the Supervisory Board of The press of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that based on the report of the latest evaluation and ranking of scientific journals in the year (2024) by the Scientific Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the quarterly journal "Geography and Regional Future Studies" has achieved a rank of "B" and has been classified among the approved scientific journals starting from Volume 1, Issue 1, Summer 2023. Additionally, this journal has also been indexed on the website of the Ministry of Science in the section of reputable publications.

• This journal follows of Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and complies with the highest ethical standards in accordance with ethical laws. Also, the Journal of Geography and Regional Future Studies fully respects and supports the laws of free access to information or in other words (Journal of Geography and Regional Future Studies  by Urmia University is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International).

• This quarterly journal is based on peer review and has open access by the public.
